66 Year Old Industrial Cocktail Shaker

Stephen Visakay shows this shaker on page 200 of his book "Vintage Bar Ware" & dates it manufacture as 1946. It was manufactured by Kraftware of NYC. It is 12" tall, a full quart capacity and made of heavy aluminum. Aluminum is a soft metal and subject to scuffs. Ready for display or use.

Skyscraper Kensington Cocktail Shaker
1212-67
$148.00
Alcoa introduced their aluminum alloy gift ware line, Kensington Ware in 1934. This Cocktail Shaker was manufactured in Kensington, PA and was designed by Lurelle Guild (1898-1985) an industrial designer perhaps best known for his streamlined and quite beautiful Electrolux Vacuum Cleaner. Rare aluminum cocktail shaker accented with cast brass detail. Complete with cork & strainer - 13 1/2" skyscraper-tall. Excellent condition.

Green Catalin/Bakelite Handle Cocktail Shaker
0313-2
$91.00
Marked "Chromium" on the bottom - I consider this a rare shaker. You have certainly seen it with the black handle and probably seen it with the red handle, but the green handle.....I predict few have seen this one. A bit over 11" tall, the lid fits snugly yet comes off easily and the screw cap on the pour spout turns smoothly.
